HOT DIP GALVANISING

Hot Dip Galvanising is the process of applying of Zinc coating to iron or steel surface for protection against corrosion. During the galvanising process a series of alloy layers are formed due to a metallurgical reaction that takes place between steel and zinc.

  • Dichromate Tank: 9 mtr x 1.00 mtr x 1.50 mtr

PREPARATION :

First step is the preparation of the material to be galvanized. In the galvanizing process materials are subject to very high temperatures. To avoid any potentially explosive situation it is therefore necessary that the materials to be galvanized are fabricated such that there are no blind corners, sealed tubes or any other such area.

INSPECTION

Inspection of hot-dip galvanising coating conforming to specification is an uncomplicated task. The simplicity of the process yields complete coating coverage and consistent coating thickness. The two most important components to an inspection are a simple visual inspection to ensure coating coverage and a brief series of coating thickness measurement to assure conformance to the appropriate specification. The coating thickness is measured by an elcometer. At the end of the inspection.

We have sophisticated Lab & Lab Equipments with highly qualified Lab Technician. Where every Batch will be conducted for the Following Lab Tests

DESTRUCTIVE TEST :

  • Strip Test [ Mass of Galvanized Coating]
  • Preece Test [ Uniformity of Galvanizing Coating]

NON DESTRUCTIVE TEST:

  • Pivoted Hammer Test [ Galvanized Fabricated Products]
  • Knife Test [ Galvanized Hardware & Steel Products]

Elco-meter Testing

After Every Batch of Galvanizing the 100% Visual Inspection will be conducted by our Quality Engineer. Standards : IS : 2629, 2745 2745, 4759-79, 209-99, 6158-71, BS EN ISO 1461, ASTM 123, BS 729
